Manuscripts for peer review are accepted for consideration on condition that they are submitted exclusively to JHNDFST with a cover letter stating the significance of the research, agreement of co-authors to publish with the Journal and any other supplementary information. The authors are requested to suggest three names of experts in the research subject area; who can be considered as reviewers.

It may also be part of an on-going research whose final conclusion is yet to be made.
Letters to the Editor: caters for authors who wish to give scientific and sound opinion to the editor. The length of letters to the Editor is limited to 450 words (in prose) and to a maximum 4 references.
Space for stakeholders: Caters for those who are not necessarily research scientists but are key consumers of research products who wish to demand or utilize research hence have contributions to make to science. As an innovative edge, JHNDFST has dedicated space for articles in Kiswahili.
